The consistant manner in which our employees perform are such a blessing to this company. Day in Day out we have the best crew of men and woman that I have experienced in the restoration and cleaning business.

I made it to the fire loss yesterday and was very proud of the way the project looked. From the plywood on the stamped concrete outside the house to the extremely perfect roof cover up. My hat off to John Gentry and the crew for a bang up beginning to this project.

Yesterday, First Restoration hosted a Continuing Education Course here at the office. Around 25 agents and adjusters were in attendance and there was plenty of food to be eaten! March 20th is the first day of spring.  What a great time to get rid of that stuff that has been gathering dust all winter, some call this “Spring Cleaning”.  Flush your house/business of all the clutter and trash.  At this time it is a good idea to take a couple pictures of your valuables and of entire rooms as a whole with a digital camera.  Store these photos off-site either on your home computer or on your work computer.  If an accident does occur, having these pictures will help you along in your process of getting back on track.

For more information about making a photo inventory of your home call us at 828-684-1852 .

Monday mornings are always fun as I have Monday Morning Meetings. My department heads come to me with their last week’s work progress and any information that they feel I need to know. This is their meeting with me for the week. It is their meeting, they plan the agenda. I just listen and answer any questions they might have of me or input wisdom. These meeting have proven very helpful in engaging the department heads in their department. I want to thank our consultants for instituting this Monday Morning Meeting with us.

DKI, North America’s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, announced today that they received a 2010 Franchise Satisfaction Award from Franchise Business Review.

This is Franchise Business Review’s fifth consecutive year of conducting this study, researching over 500 of today’s leading franchise brands representing over 100,000 franchisees. After compiling the results, 133 franchise companies inspired strong franchisee satisfaction.

“Franchisee satisfaction is the most critical factor for any prospective franchisee to consider before investing in any franchise opportunity,” says Eric Stites, President of Franchise Business Review. “Even during challenging economic times, the very best franchise businesses maintain high franchisee satisfaction. This year’s award-winning franchises are in that elite group and represent the very best franchise opportunity investments in the marketplace today.”

Franchise Business Review’s survey questions cover everything from training and support, system quality issues, franchisor relationship, financial opportunity to overall satisfaction. Additionally, demographic and lifestyle questions give a 360-degree view of their franchise ownership experience.

DKI president Dale Sailer is very pleased with the company’s franchisee satisfaction results. “For the last 35 years, DKI has worked hard to ensure its core strategies support the company’s overall vision, mission and values,” Sailer said. “It is gratifying that our franchisees continue to see the value in our offering.”
